Greetings Sorors, Philos, Rhoers and Guests,
I am Marica T. Harris, the 22nd Northeastern Region Syntaktes. Welcome to the NOTABLE Northeastern Region!
The Northeastern Region boasts many great accomplishments from our notable members to our notable chapters that expand as far North to Ottawa, Canada down to the great state of North Carolina. Our reach expands internationally to our sisters in Korea and to sisters in Bermuda. The Northeastern region is a very expansive region that supports over 60 alumnae chapters, over 75 undergraduate chapters and over 30 Philo and Rhoer Affiliate chapters.
Our power is in our IMPACT, through our countless hours of service, financial contributions to community partners and love for one another. I would like to thank our membership for their support, dedication and commitment in serving our great institution. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has been inspirational in the lives of many. During this sorority year our theme in the Northeastern Region is Sigma IMPACT: Committed to Service, Guided by Sisterhood.
Our theme reflects the basic tenets of our organization; service and sisterhood. Our commitment to service is guided by our love for the Sisterhood; women involved in action to improve the lives of others. We are striving to make an impact not only within our membership but the communities we serve. We are taking an inside out perspective, we have to have the faith, hope and trust within our organization so that we can exude those same qualities to those we serve.
To ensure that we are in alignment with our International Strategic Plan – “Going for SIGMA Gold”, we have developed our regional strategic plan called Sigma SEVEN. These goals will ensure that the region is in alignment and prepared to meet the expectations of moving the region forward to our centennial celebration.
I look forward to working with you this sorority year! Be prepared to make a Sigma IMPACT!
